Trouble shooting
We sold thousands of this remote which all are work perfect.
As each individual remote is tested before dispatch, we have encountered two major issues during programming:

  1. Removing the Control Panel Lid: A lot of ATA opener comes with a lid covering the control panel. To program the remote, you'll need to remove this lid.

  2. Limited Memory for ATA Openers: ATA openers have a limited number of memories for storing remote codes. This means that you can program a maximum of 6 to 8 remotes. If you exceed this limit, you must delete all stored remote codes before adding a new one.

To Delete All Stored Transmitter Codes:

  1. Turn off the power to the opener.
  2. Press and hold the 'Door Code' or 'SW1' button.
  3. Turn the power back on while continuing to hold the button. The coding LED will illuminate to confirm that the receiver's memory has been deleted.
  4. Release the button. All stored codes, including previous lost remote codes, should now be deleted. Confirm this by pressing the transmitters previously used to operate the device; there should be no response.

Now, you can proceed with the programming as follows:

To Program the Remote Directly to the Receiver:

  1. Press and hold the blue 'Door Code' button on the opener or 'SW1 MAIN' or 'SW2 PED' on the receiver board.
  2. Press the remote button you would like to use to open/close the device for two seconds.
  3. Release and wait for two seconds, then press the same button again for two seconds.
  4. Release the 'Door Code' or 'SW' button.
  5. Press the transmitter button to test the operation of the door or gate something.

This explanation should provide a clearer guide for troubleshooting and programming ATA PTX2 PTX4 and PTX5 remotes.
